Plastic Materials Of CNC Machining Process

Materials

Material Introduction

Aluminum

Common CNC aluminum grades include 6061, 6063, 7075, 5052 and other series, featuring good machinability, high strength and lightweight performance..

steel

Common steel materials for CNC machining include carbon steel, alloy steel,  45# steel, A3 steel, 40Cr and 42CrMo, featuring high strength, good rigidity and excellent machinability.

stainless steel

Common stainless steel grades for CNC machining include 301, 302, 303, 304, 316, 416, 420, 430 and 17‑4 PH, offering good corrosion resistance, strength and machinability.

Copper

Common copper materials for CNC machining include pure copper, brass, bronze, beryllium copper ,Nickel-copper and other copper alloys, featuring excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and machinability.

titanium

products 2

Common titanium alloys for CNC machining include Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5), Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn, Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo and pure titanium Grade 1/2, featuring high strength, low density and excellent corrosion resistance.

engineering plastics

products 2

CNC machining is suitable for engineering plastics including PEEK, POM, PA (Nylon), ABS, PC, PMMA, PET, PPS, PE, PU and UHMWPE.

Why Plastic

CNC machining?

Plastic processed parts are a good alternative to metal parts because they are lightweight, easy to process, and generally cheaper. Using CNC machining to produce plastic parts is still preferred by engineers and product teams because it is compatible with a wide range of plastics.

Plastic CNC machining

Cost

The major factor in processing costs is the time it takes to machine the plastic. The length of time is a function of both the material and the design. Softer plastics like PEEK can be machined quickly, while harder plastics like UHMWPE take much longer. More intricate designs will also take longer to machine regardless of the material.

To get an accurate estimate of your project’s machining costs, submit a quote request with your part’s geometry and we will provide you with a free quote.

What is your MOQ?

We provide customized sample machining services to help customers validate their product designs, with a minimum order quantity as low as 1 piece.

Can you revise the design for better manufacturability (DFM)?

Yes, we offer free DFM analysis for all custom CNC parts to optimize design, reduce cost and ensure smooth production.

Can you provide rush service? How fast?

For orders requiring urgent production, we offer expedited services. Simply communicate your request to our sales team, and we will make reasonable production adjustments based on our factory’s actual scheduling. We will reallocate production capacity to fully support your urgent needs. In addition, we will arrange the fastest available shipping method to assist you with the entire production and delivery process for your rush order.

Can we sign NDA?
Of course. We are willing to sign an NDA to protect your confidential information (such as CNC part drawings, design concepts and technical parameters). Could you please share your NDA template with us, or would you prefer to use ours? We will adjust accordingly to meet your needs.
